Do we have a reference section?

The library has both a physical and virtual reference collection. The physical collection can be found in the Powerhouse Library, which is located on the first floor in the Riverside Lounge. The books in our reference collection are for in-library use only. You can browse encyclopedias, dictionaries, and bibliographies (as well as other materials!). If you need to refer back to a reading, feel free to use our scanners.
We also have virtual reference resources available. Credo Reference is often described as "Academic Wikipedia." It's a great place to get started on your research. For more information and a tutorial on how to use Credo, check out the video below.
We also have access to Encyclopedia Britannica and the Oxford English Dictionary.
Think of reference materials as a starting place for your research. They are incredibly helpful because they describe complex topics in basic terms. After you utilize these resources you can jump-in with more in-depth resources.
