How do I access a specific journal?

Answer

If you want to get an overview of what is going on in a particular field, it is a good idea to browse recent academic journals in that area. To find a specific journal or a journal in a particular field, follow these steps:

  1. Start on the Library Website.
  2. Locate the ‘Journals’ tab in the discovery box.
  3. Type in the name of the journal or a general subject. Example: The American Journal of Sociology OR Sociology.

  4. Locate the journal in the catalog. Select ‘Access Journal.’ Please note: if you are off-campus, you will need to log in using your Beloit College Credentials.

  5. Select an issue from a particular year OR search the journal for a particular topic.
